During a rally in Nashville, Tennessee, on Tuesday, President Donald Trump doubled down on his claim that Mexico will end up paying for a border wall. “In the end, Mexico is going to pay for the wall," Trump said, stating that Mexico does "absolutely nothing" to stop people from illegally entering the U.S. along the southern border. “They’re going to pay for the wall, and they’re going to enjoy it,” Trump said to cheers from the crowd. "They do nothing for us." Trump's remarks drew a quick response from Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto. Enrique Peña Nieto ? @EPN President @realDonaldTrump: NO. Mexico will NEVER pay for a wall. Not now, not ever. Sincerely, Mexico (all of us). 6:25 PM - May 29, 2018 "President @realDonaldTrump: NO. Mexico will NEVER pay for a wall. Not now, not ever. Sincerely, Mexico (all of us)," Peña Nieto tweeted. On "America's Newsroom," Rep. David Schweikert (R-Ariz.) said border security is a critical issue that Republicans should run on heading into November's midterm elections. "The president is taking us on the right track from understanding you've got to do border security, but for many of us, we also need to fix the immigration system," Schweikert said, calling for a "talent-based system." "You can't fix one thing and leave the others hanging, because you just move the problem to something else." POSTED BY ABRAHAM.
