The incessant killings of innocent Nigerians by the suspected Fulani Herdsmen have reached an alarming rate, and this calls for serious actions and sanctions against the Buhari administration. There is no shying away from the fact that we as Nigerians made a silly mistake in electing President Muhammadu Buhari on the ground of guaranteeing security and fighting against corruption in the country. This singular assumption was a deviation from the path of wisdom for it actually eroded our moral and spiritual allegiance to God, who should at all times be seen and revered as the only and the most reliable chief security officer. Nonetheless, our mistake should not be seen as a license for the enthronement of the mediocre leadership that we have today in Nigeria. The most recent killing of innocent citizens in Jos Plateau State of Nigeria should be regarded as the last straw that breaks the camel’s back. Without mincing words, I want to state categorically that President Muhammadu Buhari has failed the country in his assignment first and foremost as the chief security officer of the county. To this end, let every living Nigerian declare a vote of no confidence in this president. As the Lord lives, he shall not succeed in coming back to office in 2019. There is nothing wrong with Nigeria as a country, but with Nigerians as a people. We have been demoralized to the extent that we easily forget past happiness and live only in the present; we are not seeing the future. All of us cannot be fooled by the foolish people we have in power who are nothing other than a pack of mediocre leaders. Enough is enough, but we cannot sit down and claim that we care for a standing position that’s always a winning position. Let us, as a people, stand up for our rights for no one else can fight our fights for us. God bless Nigeria.
