As the 2019 general elections draw near Lagos State Government has urged pilgrims to Jerusalem to seek God’s intervention to for credible, peaceful electoral exercise The Board Secretary, Lagos State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Mrs Yetunde Gbafe, gave the advice during the air-lifting of the first batch of the pilgrims to Jerusalem, a statement on Wednesday said. Gbafe said it was expedient for the pilgrims to use the pilgrimage to seek God’s face for crop of leaders with genuine and godly intentions for the masses. “Imbibe the humility of Jesus Christ, be Christ-like and make His lifestyle your own lifestyle as well. With this, Lagos State and indeed Nigeria will be a better place for us all,” Gbafe added. In his address, the Special Adviser to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode on Religious Matter, Dr Kolawole Verrals, underscored the need for the pilgrims to see the journey as a purely spiritual one.
