Leah Sharibu Turns 16 in Terrorist Detention
A Christian girl, Leah Sharibu, kidnapped by Boko Haram Terrorist from Dapchi in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State, has turned 16 years Tuesday in detention. Dr. Obiageli Ezekwesili took to tweeter to wish Leah well and expressed her displeasure at the young girl’s detention. She wrote, “History will record that a young daughter of our country #LeahSharibu was left behind when her schoolmates were retrieved from terrorist abduction. “She stood unwilling to negotiate her faith for freedom. @MBuhari promised, yet Leah is still with terrorists. She’s 16 today. Tragic.”
