On July 7, 2018 Mark Zuckerberg, founder and chief executive officer of the social platform Facebook, has been recognized as the third richest person worldwide.
The 34 year old CEO of Facebook is worth an estimated sum of $81.6 billion, which ranks him as the third richest when compare to Jeff Bezos and Bill Gate, who worth $142 billion and $94.2 billion respectively as indicated by Bloomberg Billionaires Index, a daily ranking group of the world richest persons.
Prior to when this was declared, American businessman Warren Buffett was the world recognized third richest person.
Buffett, worth a sum of $0.4 billion as the chairman of multinational conglomerate holding company Berkshire Hathaway, is in fourth place with a net worth of $81.2 billion.
Zuckerberg has recovered and moved on after the data privacy crisis, which sent Facebook’s shares to an eight-month low of $152.22 on March 27, in accordance to Bloomberg report. However, On Friday 6 of July, the stock closed at $203.23, implying investors have continued to support Facebook despite the crisis.
