The verdict of the presidential election petition tribunal of the 6th of September, 2023, and in respect of the case of the presidential election of February 25th, 2023 in Nigeria was nothing other than a travesty of justice.
“Woe unto them that call evil good and good evil, that put darkness for light and light for darkness, that put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter”– Isaiah 5: 30.
As long as the earth remains, seed time and harvest shall not cease, in other words, as long as the earth remains, wonders shall not cease. It is not a matter of the more you look, the less you see, we are here talking about reality which has to do with seeing well and seeing with the eyes of God which also guarantees the hastening of the performance of God’s purpose and plan for humans as well as Nations of the world. It is important to take cognizance of the fact that Nigeria is not an exception, not only among the committee of nations but amongst those things that are upheld by the word of God. Man can only play God for a short time but not forever. Nigeria is a country designed and destined by God for greatness but there are many adversaries. What is playing out right now in the country called Nigeria, where men seem to have taken over the control of all controllable things, plunging the majority of the people into poverty is, to say the least, unfortunate.
The judicial pronouncement regarding the controversy surrounding the February 25th, 2023 elections, which for a long time had been awaited by Nigerians was a great disappointment as well as a surprise, though only to Nigerians but not to God who is the creator of all the universe, the author and finisher of our faith and the most powerful God who decrees the end from the beginning. It is very important to state categorically and for record purposes that the end is yet to come and the hope of Nigerians that seems dashed at the moment will still come alive. We are as a people enjoined to keep believing and trusting in God who is the greatest of all judges, who lifts one and brings another down, for promotion comes not from the west or the east or the north or the south, God alone is the promoter and only who He promotes remains promoted and He who promotes himself like Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a candidate for a fall.
“Ponder the life led by others long ago, the life that will be led after you, the life that has been led in uncivilized races, how many do not even know your name, how many will very soon forget it, and how many will praise you perhaps now, will very soon blame you and that neither memorial nor fame nor anything else at all is worth a thought” – Michael Cerularius.
A wise man once admonished that we should not hold the delusion that our advancement is accomplished by crushing others, such beliefs are in every sense of it devilish and the same is what is obtainable amongst the so-called leaders in Nigeria. Under normal circumstances, life is expected to be understood backward and lived forward. This buttresses the fact also that the greatest evil about making a mistake is to keep on making it, only the wise hears and increase in learning and only a man of understanding attains unto wise counsel but the “labor of the fools wearies everyone of them for they do not know how to go into the city” (Ecclesiastes 10:15).
From all observations, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has proved to Nigerians that the country has been captured and bought over through the instrumentality of deceit for what remains where one man is in control of the executive, the legislature, and the judiciary? The only hope that is left for Nigerians is in God and there is no point looking elsewhere for help that is needed, for a turn-around testimony in the country Nigeria, only lies in the almighty God. Gone are the days when the saying that the judiciary is the last hope of the common man was a dictum, but today in situations and places where the wicked are those in power, the vulnerable and the downtrodden citizens have nowhere else to look unto than God. It doesn’t matter who cares to believe, as a matter of fact, if what I have to say makes sense to others, then it is not of God, for understandably, God’s thoughts are not our thoughts and neither his ways, our ways but his secrets are with them that fear him and they are those who have the privilege of accessing his covenants. As painful as it is, however, it is the truth of the scriptures.
There is no amount of effort born out of the mastery of politics as long as it is a product of the earthly wisdom that will move Nigeria forward, not with a fraudulent and wicked person like Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the saddle. It has now dawned on us that both the former dictator and bloodthirsty former president of the country, Mohammed Buhari and Bola Ahmed Tinubu are two of a kind and a chip off the old block. Nigerians have missed it by putting their trust in man in the first place, concerning the matters of security of the country which they placed in the hands of the former president Buhari in 2015, believing in him because of his credentials, especially as a former military head of state. They did that at the expense of God who should have been trusted with the security of lives and the property of Nigerians. Because a miss is as good as a mile, and one crime leads to another, here we go again with someone who was the national leader of APC in all the eight years of the Buhari administration that fits in for description as the saddest episode in the history of Nigeria, now occupying the seat of President again.
We should not be brainwashed and made to believe that God does not answer prayers, especially of His children and Christians who live in Nigeria. Recall that after 400 years in captivity, He did not only hear the prayers of the children of Israel, He heard their groanings, and came down and the rest is history. The God of Israel is coming down in response to the groanings of His children in Nigeria and there shall be a repeat of the crossing over of the red sea to His glory and honor. Let me use this opportunity to remind all those who are pitching their tent with the wicked, that they cannot eat their cake and expect to have it, Nigeria as a country is only regarded as the giant of Africa, the largest democracy and economy in Africa by words of mouth but in reality, the country only fits in aptly for description as “Ichabod” (The glory of God has departed).
The agents of terrorism and banditry are hereby warned not to desist but to put in all that they have in their powers to use for their destruction is at hand, God is prepared to move in Nigeria by making his enemies become as stubble and His children as fire. We have seen the last of all wickedness of the wicked and now is the time for God the Jehovah to move. The only painful thing that is scriptural is that when the wicked are suffering, the innocent also feel the heat but this time, the wheat shall be separated from the chaff, and Nigeria, I mean the new Nigeria shall be born.
To the Chief Justice of Nigeria, what has played out which in other words represents the leading of Nigerians into captivity by you and your colleagues will be avenged and posterity will not speak in your flavor.
My advice to the Nigerian youths, especially the Obidients, whose mandate has been stolen, this is not the time to throw in the towel for we had been told that darkness shall cover the earth and gross darkness, the people, but the glory of God shall be seen on us. This is the moment, for the best of light, is seen in the worst of darkness. This is not the time to surrender our destiny to the agents of darkness for what light does not expose is light and not darkness.
On a final note, appropriate this saying from a wise man to your situation, “If you seek the kernel, then you must break the shell and likewise if you would know the reality of nature, you must destroy the appearance and the farther you go beyond the appearance, the nearer you will be to the essence.”
Don’t wait for the light at the end of the tunnel, lighten up your tunnel as you go for God is with you. God Bless Nigeria
