The General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi has called on local, international and government agencies to collaborate with the ministry to handle the underemployment and unemployment of Nigerian youths.
Kumuyi made this call at the multi-purpose hall of the Deeper Life headquarters, Gbagada, Lagos where over 350 youths graduated from the ministry’s skill acquisition programme were present.
The cleric, however, emphasized that God Almighty must be made the pillar of every action in order to achieve meaningful and objective impact.
Kumuyi said that the Nigeria population has grown to over 182 million and over half of its people are under 30 years of age, adding that the National Bureau of Statistics put unemployment rate in the last quarter of 2017 at about 18.8 percent. The figure is regarded as the most conservative estimate, he said.
The creation of The Young Professionals Forum was out of passion to help the youths of this generation in order to discover the essence of purposeful living through diligence, honesty and integrity which would prepare them for excellence in their chosen fields of endeavours, Pastor Kumuyi added.
The General Superintendent said that Deeper Life Ministry is committed to the improvement and advancement of the human faculties into optimal productive use.
